  1. Installing the PowerPoint Animation Player & Publisher

  3. LOCATION: \3RDPARTY\UTILITY\PPTANIM\AXPUB.EXE
  4.  
  5. The following steps will install both the Animation Player
  6. and Publisher - the publisher to create PowerPoint Animation
  7. files, and the player to view PowerPoint Animation files. Before
  8. you begin, make sure you've installed PowerPoint for Windows 95
  9. and are running Windows 95 or Windows NT 3.51 or later.
  10.  
  11. If multiple users share a computer, you'll need to install the
  12. PowerPoint Animation Publisher for each user needing this
  13. functionality. 
  14.  
  15. 1.  Copy the PowerPoint Animation Player and Publisher to your
  16. hard drive.
  17.  
  18. 2.  Run axpub.exe and follow the instructions.
  19.  
  20. 2.  Launch PowerPoint 95, and then open your favorite presentation.
  21.  
  22. 3.  On the File menu, click Export as PowerPoint Animation or if
  23. you have the PowerPoint Internet Assistant installed, click on Export
  24. for Internet and then select As PowerPoint Animation.

  26. 4.  Name the PowerPoint Animation file.  The Animation Publisher
  27. creates two files - a PPZ file and an HTM file with the same name.

  29. 6.In Windows Explorer, double-click the HTM file and enjoy!
  30.  
  31. 7.When you move the PowerPoint Animation files to your server, you
  32. might need to add MIME mappings on your server. Refer to the section
  33. in the online User's Guide on How do I add PowerPoint Animation
  34. support.
